_Traces of Rose

Description

Traces of Rose

A striking study in contrast and raw texture, this composition balances an expansive field of weathered rose against a grounded, earthy foundation. The heavily worked impasto surface features deep grid-like indentations, aggressive scrapings, and layered markings that give the painting a deeply tactile, sculptural presence. Beneath the dominant pink hue, glimpses of dark charcoal, crimson, and raw grey peek through, suggesting a history buried just below the surface. It is a powerful exploration of how softness and grit can coexist, leaving behind the scarred yet beautiful remnants of something once delicate.
