Shipping & Delivery Policy
1. Prices and Shipping Costs
- VAT: All prices listed on product pages exclude statutory Value-Added Tax (VAT) and other price components.
- Transparency: Shipping costs are calculated based on the artwork's dimensions and destination. These are clearly communicated during the basket process and reconfirmed on the final order page.
- Calculation: Shipping costs are charged in Euro (EUR). As VAT on shipping is tied to the goods purchased, costs may be adjusted in your favor (reduced) during the final checkout process.

5. Customs, Duties, and Taxes
For international deliveries outside the European Union:
- Import Costs: The customer is responsible for all additional costs related to customs clearance, import duties, and local import sales taxes.
- Invoicing: These fees are typically invoiced directly by the carrier (e.g., DHL, UPS, FedEx) upon entry into your country.
- Documentation: Every order is accompanied by a professional proof of purchase (tax invoice) to facilitate customs processing.
6. Risk of Loss and Inspection
- Transfer of Risk: The risk of loss or damage transfers to the customer once physical possession of the goods is taken by the customer or a designated third party (other than the carrier).
- Claims: Please inspect your artwork immediately upon arrival. Any claims regarding defects, inaccuracies in quantity, or errors in reference must be reported via email to hello@ellen-paintings.art within two working days of receipt.
7. Delays and Force Majeure
Delivery periods may be extended appropriately in the event of circumstances beyond our control, such as strikes, official government orders (import/export restrictions), pandemics, or cases of force majeure. We will inform you of the beginning and end of such obstacles as soon as possible.
